On Mar. 19, 2006, the first-ever corporate university in Chinese bus industry – Zhongtong Education College formally opened in Zhongtong Bus & Holding Co., Ltd. More than 100 delegates, including the leaders, professors and experts from Shandong Provincial Transport Department, Liaocheng municipal government, Renmin University of China, Chang’an University, Jilin University of Technology and Shandong University of Technology, customer representatives of Zhongtong Bus, representatives of distributors, representatives of service stations and journalists from different media agencies, attended the formal opening ceremony.
Aiming at fostering first-class professional managers and technical backbone in technical management, marketing and production systems, and fully improving the staff’s competency and qualifications, Zhongtong Education College is a must-have organization when Zhongtong Bus steps into its current stage. Its emergence can further standardize the training activities for in-house employees and provide them with development opportunities and platform for continuous study. Additionally its external training business focusing on customers, distribution channels and partners also play an increasing crucial role. Therefore, Zhongtong Education College can not only develop in-depth in-house training programs and enhance the performance and flexibility of employee training, but also raise the level of communication platform that is connected to external bodies.
The College owns approximately 30 professional classrooms, including multimedia rooms, professional managers’ rooms and strategic partners’ rooms, a wide-ranging set of computerization facilities and can accommodate more than 1,000 students simultaneously. Its standardized library room collects over 10,000 books and 500 sets of audiovisual materials. It employs more than 200 full-time or part-time teachers and, at the same time, invites about 100 professors and experts from some universities, such as Chang’an University, Renmin University of China, Jilin University, Shangdong University of Technology, Liaocheng University, as its visiting professors. Moreover, the College also built partnership with many consulting firms and training organizations like Shandong Group Outward Bound Training Co., Ltd. and Shanghai A.Brain Management Consultants Co., Ltd.
Zhongtong Education College adopts the college president responsible system under the leadership of general manager, setting up Teaching Affairs Division, Equipment Division and Course Development Division.
